It has revolutionary one pot coupling and deprotection technology, which can achieve a synthesis scale of 0.1mmol, with each cycle taking only 2.5 minutes and only 10mL of waste liquid per cycle.   2.Liberty uses a one pot coupling and deprotection process:
This technology involves adding deprotection reagents (bases) directly to a non draining post coupling mixture. CEM is based on the following research findings: faster reaction kinetics in the liquid phase promote rapid hydrolysis or self condensation of active esters, thereby avoiding potential side reactions at the amino functional groups bound to the resin. Then, Fmoc removal is carried out continuously at high temperatures. Optimize the reagent dosage to produce a substantially neutral reaction mixture at the end of the deprotection step.
3. Headspace Flushing - Cleaning the reactor surface:
A new feature of the Liberty Blue 2.0 and Liberty PRIME 2.0 systems is the use of headspace flushing to provide a cleaner reactor surface, protecting it from the effects of volatile deprotection bases at high temperatures. The "headspace flushing" technology helps synthesize longer peptides and achieve ideal purity levels by ensuring the cleanliness of the reactor surface.
